jump for joy

This is a relatively old piece in our portfolio, but one of our favorites. The company identity is based around flying and aircraft. So to celebrate our first birthday (on the 1st of August 1995) a sponsored parachute jump was organised. The entire company were 'volunteered' with all proceeds going to charity. We wanted to target major clients and suppliers. We felt a humanitarian charity would be one to which most people might wish to donate. The mailers were followed-up by a phone call to secure a donation.

In order to minimise cost and maximise the return to the charity the mailer was produced entirely in house, using inexpensive stationery items (such as manilla envelopes and typo detail paper).

Every crew member successfully completed the jump and we had a 100% response rate from all mailed parties. Each mailer cost 34p – including the stamp, and we raised £1,500 – not bad for a fledgling squadron of five!

Finally, we produced a commemorative coin at our own expense and mailed it as a thank you to all who supported us.
